About Us
Creating an Environment Where Plants, Gardens, and Gardeners Grow!
The O’Fallon Garden Club, founded in 2010, is a volunteer organization dedicated to beautifying the city of O’Fallon and encouraging volunteerism and civic pride. Ongoing projects include the development of one and a half acres that was once an unsightly trailer park to what now boasts a lovely butterfly garden, perennial beds, garden plots, and a community garden that has grown and donated over 38,000 pounds of vegetables to the local food pantry. Volunteers meet twice a week to plant, weed, water, and enjoy the company of fellow gardeners as they beautify the community.
Donations for support of the O'Fallon Garden Club may be made to the O'Fallon Garden Club, C/O the O'Fallon Parks and Recreation, 308 E. 5th Street, O'Fallon, IL 62269. Donations are tax-deductible.
Members enjoy monthly programs, focused on local interests presented by experts in their fields. The club is a member of the National Garden Club, the Garden Clubs of Illinois, and boasts a membership of over 133 members, 23 master gardeners, two master naturalists, and a Montana State University Master Beekeeper. Our community “digs” gardening!
O’Fallon is a growing community in southwestern Illinois, located just 20 minutes east of St. Louis.
The O’Fallon Garden Club was established to provide a local means for the exchange of ideas and information about gardening among members. Our goal is to stimulate public interest and knowledge of gardening and related activities. We hope to promote our love of gardening by sharing experiences and knowledge while modeling a healthy lifestyle and sharing the enjoyment of outdoor activities. Projects focus on supporting civic programs and improving the quality of life within the community through community-based service projects while demonstrating the power of volunteerism in our community.
